In the mines, we work hard every day, Digging for gold in every which way. We chisel and hammer, our muscles strain, Hoping that fortune will come our way.
We're a ragtag bunch, with dirt on our face, Always searching for that elusive grace. We know the risks, we know the score, But still, we come back for more.
We'll work all day, and we'll work all night, Till we find that vein, and it's shining bright. We'll dance and we'll sing, and we'll raise a glass, And we'll celebrate like we've won the World Series.
So here's to the miners, the hardworking crew, Who dig and dig, until they're black and blue. May their efforts be rewarded, and may they find gold, And may they live a life that's happy and bold.
Welcome to My Lasting Minutes. Here I share my poetry, stories, songs, and reflections on life. My hope is to turn a minute of thought into something that outlasts me — and leaves behind something worth remembering.
