O Cursed Scale

O Cursed Scale, how you taunt with spite,
Your brutal truth, a daily blight.

Each day I hope for mercy's hand,
but you show my love for sweets so grand.

With hopeful eyes, I face your glare,
to see my weight still lingering there!

You mock my fasts, my salads, drinks,
while I yearn for a body toned, no chinks.

You ignore my sweat, my toil,
and tempt me to forsake the gym, to spoil.

O cursed scale, with cruel jest,
your cold numbers, my hope repressed.

But you won't break my dreams, I'll strive,
to see a leaner me, alive.

One day I'll conquer, proud and tall,
like a lion over steak, I'll stand above all.
