What Remains

In the shattered pieces of a life once whole,
Moments vanished, lost without a soul.
The ruins of yesterday lie still and cold,
Only whispers remain, their secrets untold.

Light shines softly through an open pane,
Illuminating the dust where tears have lain.
What once was full of life and cheer,
Has now dissolved, with shadows near.

Memories cling to time’s frail hand,
Remnants of love lost in the sand.
Nothing remains but a whispered tone,
What once was joy, now overthrown.

In shadows they dance, faint and dim,
Voices that whisper from the brim.
A time of love now fades away,
The final tale in silence lay.

Time cannot erase what once did stand,
Every step, every laugh, captured in the sand.
Like a house that crumbles in the cold of night,
Filled with ghosts, forever in sight.

On a moonlit night with the wind's sweet song,
You hear the voices where memories belong.
Dance through the time, over pain and strife,
And see how the past returns to life.
