Two Worlds

I reside in a place of togetherness,
Where thoughts and feelings are stirred and caressed.

Crowded by masses of people, you can't breathe,
Sinking deeper into terror, unable to leave.

The people around you turn into mannequins,
Will there ever be light in this life of sins?

Thoughts become jumbled and tangled,
As you try to unravel and unscramble.

Decisions are no longer yours to make,
Lost in the chaos, like a leaf in a lake.

Gazing out the window, tears fall like rain,
Drenching the world with sorrow and pain.
