Over a small farm town, the clouds loom heavy and gray,
In a small, lonely room, he sits and thinks of her far away.

Above, the clouds roar like a beast's fierce growl,
He wonders if she ever thinks of him now.

The wind begins to stir, starting to sway,
And he ponders what she’s doing in Byron Bay.

White lightning strikes with a sudden flash,
Down his cheek rolls a tear, in a silent splash.

Followed by lightning, the piercing rain pours,
Carried away in rivers, flowing to unknown shores.

The rain soaks deep into the thirsty ground,
Sleep overwhelms him, his thoughts profound.

Then! The sun breaks through once more,
A new day to try again, to open another door.

Outside, I hear the birds already begin to sing,
A melody of resilience, a hopeful, new beginning.
