My Lasting Minutes

With You Lord, our faith is strong
Your support carries us along
Life for our son, You will ensure
Through love and grace, our hearts endure

Up to You, our prayers ascend
Your mercy, love, and care, we depend
Lazarus from the dead You raised
Our child's salvation, in You we place

We believe in Your power to save

Synopsis:
On 18 January 2000, we almost lost Gertjie, or Garry as we know him today, after he was involved in a very serious accident. The following two poems found their way out of my heart during a few uncertain nights at that time, when we were deeply unsure whether Garry would survive.
We are incredibly grateful that he did survive and cherish every moment today with our two beautiful sons. Thank you for every moment shared with you. You are the very centre of your mother’s and my hearts.
