My Lasting Minutes

When I love you,
The stars don't need to shine,
The breadbox can be empty,
Load-shedding's just fine.

When I love you,
The sea can rage and roar,
The moon can dim the daylight,
Table Mountain I ignore.

Traffic can be hectic,
I won't even mind,
For when I love you,
True peace is what I find.

When I love you,
Each day can pass unseen,
You are my stars and sunshine,
My bread and light serene.

My mountain tall and steady,
My journey's sweet embrace,
When I love you,
A rainbow spans every space.
