The sins of our ancestors, we bear the cost Their lust for power, and all that they've lost They thought they could rule, but they only destroyed The world we live in, they left so devoid
The sea and rivers, contaminated with poison The animal kingdom, gone, left with no voice and The blue sky faded, with pollution and decay Leaving the elderly, women, and children in dismay
Love, a precious virtue, has lost its worth In a world where chaos and hatred give birth Oh Lord, give us a chance to try again To mend our ways, to wash away the stain
Every time things went wrong, we sat under a shroud But when they got better, we forgot, feeling proud Forgive us, Lord, for our past and present sins Let's work together, let our new journey begin
To heal the wounds of our mother earth To restore her beauty, her intrinsic worth Let's work together, hand in hand To create a world, we can all understand.
Welcome to My Lasting Minutes. Here I share my poetry, stories, songs, and reflections on life. My hope is to turn a minute of thought into something that outlasts me — and leaves behind something worth remembering.
