My love, these words I write for you
In this letter or poem, to brighten your day anew
As you struggle in the night's relentless chew
Fatigue dragging you along, making everything askew

I understand your cry for help, my heart in pain
Wishing I could ease you of your sorrow and strain
Your anger moods I try to swallow and contain
But at times, even I am bent under its bane

Yet I stand by you, my love, through thick and thin
Paving our way, even when the road is dim
My feelings for you, and our son processed within
Our marriage, a bond that never grows thin

Be strong, my dear, and stand with our Lord
He'll take our sins upon Himself, His love adored
Together we'll rise above, in one accord
