In the silence of my soul, where thoughts entwine,
A race unfolds, unseen, with no applause or shine.
Ahead runs Peace, her beauty bright and rare,
Yet out of reach, my hope lingers there.
I stretch my hands, I summon my might,
But she slips away, her path out of sight.
Behind me, in shadows of cold and despair,
Death follows softly, with a rhythmic, measured air.
No matter my chase, no matter my fight,
The road twists onward, no end in sight.
Peace stays ahead, Death close at my heel,
In life’s endless cycle, where fate turns the wheel.
This carousel, a game of strife,
Reflecting the circles that shape our life.
Each turn a journey, each spin a new start,
Yet the same direction binds our heart.
No victor here, no prize to gain,
Only the wheel that spins again.
My life’s not a chase for Peace’s embrace,
Nor an escape from Death’s quiet pace.
It’s the ride itself, in this unending ring,
Where I find my soul, my spring, my suffering.
Each morning I rise, to ride once more,
In the circle of life, my only lore.
Peace stays ahead, of the dreams I chase,
Death follows behind, with a patient grace.
And me? I ride on, caught in the spin,
For life itself is the song I sing.
